Story
The world needs to change - in light of the George Floyd murder and having my eyes opened to the institutionalized and engrained racism in society I have decided to make a stand for equality with my friends in fitness to raise money for a worthy cause here at home - by conquering the biggest mountain in the solar system - Olympus Mons, on Mars, our teams are completing a set of challenges to do this:
1. Travelling 1961km - the distance around the base of the mountain.
2. Ascending to the summit by racking up 22000m of elevation gain, nearly three times the height of Everest.
3. Conquering the Caldera at the summit - 80000m across.
4. Completing a tribute workout for Stephen Lawrence on his birthday.
The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust was founded to tackle inequality in all forms. We're dedicated to transforming the life chances of young people and improving the world in which they live. We support young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to inspire and enable them to succeed in the career of their choice. We support community groups to develop new skills and play an active role in building stronger communities. And we help organisations to create a more inclusive culture in order to achieve lasting social impact.
