Cure Leukaemia's London 2 Paris returns in 2023 for another fantastic 4-days of cycling, and this year is set to be our biggest year EVER and is an incredible experience!

Story

Team Portcullis is a group of friends brought together by our love of rowing, biking, open water swimming and generally any sport that gives us a reason to eat cake and have good chat! These days we're scattered around the UK and beyond, but we met in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The town's emblem is a portcullis, so our team has adopted this symbol of strength, determination and protection. Armed only with our padded shorts and a high pain threshold, we're riding as a hybrid team - some of us will pedal from London to Paris in person, while other members of the team join us virtually on turbo trainers! Yes, we think they're crazy too - but we love them for it.

Our main reason for cycling for Cure Leukaemia is to show support to friends whose lives are impacted by Leukaemia. Please donate whatever you can to help people who are battling leukaemia. Thank you so much for your donations.

NB: We are covering the costs of the cycle trip ourselves so all monies raised will go to Cure Leukaemia.

Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses at 15 hospitals across the UK. These roles form the Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) network giving patients, from a catchment area of 30m, access to potentially life-saving treatments through clinical trials, with plans to fund a paediatric network on the way.
