Story
You will be aware that my darling wife Jess has been battling breast cancer since October 2022. She’s done 6 rounds of chemo, had a double mastectomy, will be having 3 weeks of radiotherapy in June and ongoing adjuvant therapy for the rest of the year.
The treatment and care Jess has received has been the best I could imagine, with the most up to date drugs and therapies available. 20 years ago, Jess would probably not have survived the aggressive cancer she has, but thanks to the ongoing research and development of new treatment regimens, survival rates are improving all the time.
By way of thanking all those involved and supporting new research and development I am do the 10K Wolf Run - a very muddy obstacle course - on June 24, 2023. Please give anything you can towards the work of Cancer Research UK.
I am also raising awareness and funds for Vision Care for Homeless People, a charity for which I volunteer, that provides essential eyecare and glasses for the most vulnerable in our society. My place in the Tough Mudder is sponsored by Wolf Eyewear who also supportt VCHP and some colleagues from VCHP are getting muddy for a good cause too!
You can select which charity to donate to:
Cancer Research Target is £1000
Vision Care for Homeless People Target is £500
Thanks so much,
Peter
