The Big Smile 2021
I believe that we have, or know somebody, who has been theough a tough time. In todays society we hold in our emotions and keep things bottled inside to conform to the ‘perfect’ instagram view of doing well. I myself have always found walking a huge release, breathe in fresh air and take time out to free our minds and think, get clarity and make decisions.
Our young people, have what we had at their age magnified! The pressure of looking like a sucess to their peers and society paired with growing up and school work.
This gives the opportunity for all children in year 6 at both schools to recieve a pair of free walking boots. Enabling them to have the chance to get out, clear their heads and keep healthy in body and mind.
By donating you are enabling us to provide walking boots to all current year 6 pupils in both Beamish and Pelton Primary School. If this pilot year is sucessful, it is the intention to do this for each year 6 class.
Miss Gilbert and I have already, during our summer holidays , completed a ten mile walk with the Walk and Talk Trust. I will also on the 18th of September be completing a 20 mile walk to raise funds. Every donation helps.
Thanks
