Story
Tommy’s is a fantastic charity that researches the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth, premature birth and neonatal death. They also offer invaluable support to grieving families and couples following baby loss. They are always at the end of the phone with a kind voice and to offer advice or sometimes just to listen.
Chris Jarman and Adam Wilson are cycling the 100 miles for Ride London together in memory of Chris and Cat’s son Oscar, who they lost at nearly 22 weeks of pregnancy on 23 May 2021, due to PPROM. PPROM stands for pre-term premature rupture of membranes and is where the waters break at an early stage in pregnancy. The amniotic fluid is critical for a baby’s lung development, particularly between weeks 16-23. Losing Oscar was and is completely devastating but by continuing to raise money in Oscar’s memory, we hope his legacy will live on and help others through such difficult times.
We want to help Tommy’s continue their incredibly important work supporting families and couples and researching causes of pregnancy loss to prevent some families having to go through this.
Thank you for your support!
