Race the Sun Lake District Keswick 2024 · 7 September 2024 ·

The majestic mountains and sprawling lakes surrounding Keswick, in the Lake District National Park, offer a stunning backdrop as your bike, hike, and paddle around a course in a race against the setting sun.

Story

We’re two teams taking on the "Race the Sun" challenge in the Lake District Keswick for the children's charity Action Medical Research. On the 7th September we will be setting off at sunrise to bike 40 miles, hike 10.5 miles up Skiddaw Mountain and Row 2 mile around Derwentwater in a race against the sun setting. We’re racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people. By supporting our teams you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases. Thank you so much for your support!
