Raising money for TRIBE Freedom Foundation

TRIBE Run For Love Namibia · 26 October 2024 to 2 November 2024 ·

We're on a mission to push our limits, running 200km over 5 days to fight modern slavery. Our goal is to raise £100,000 to help end modern slavery and empower the survivors. Together, we go further and faster.

Story

In late October 2024, Orlando and Bertie will be joining ~60 other TRIBE runners to cross 225km of the Namib Desert, from Brandberg Mountain to the Skeleton Coast, fending off wild elephants (maybe), dehydration (possibly) and the gruelling heat (definitely) to raise awareness and money for the fight against modern slavery.

As a team, we are aiming to raise over £150,000 to support the work of TRIBE Freedom Foundation, a small but mighty charity on a mission to prevent modern slavery and empower the survivors across the UK. Slavery is everywhere, but it isn’t often obvious. There are an estimated 122,000 victims in the UK alone with almost 50 million trapped in modern slavery worldwide.

To date, TRIBE Freedom Foundation has created a life-changing impact for +10,000 survivors and potential victims. Funds raised from TRIBE Run For Love 6 will help increase access to holistic survivor support across the UK, enabling survivors to rebuild their lives with access to safe accommodation, therapy, medical and casework support, education and employment opportunities.
