We help people with learning disability to live fuller lives in the Oxford area

Story

A group of Oxford and District Mencap volunteers, patrons, beneficiaries and friends will be completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on the 15th April 2023 in order to raise funds for this year's residential holidays for adults with learning disability.

The challenge involves walking over a marathon distance, including summiting three mountains in the Yorkshire Dales, all in one go. The team will have to work together to get everyone around the circular route, whatever the weather and no matter how long it takes. This will be a tough challenge and your support through donations and messages will really help motivate us around.

The funds will go directly towards this year's summer holidays which provide adults with learning disability opportunities to do lots of activities they might not otherwise get to do, and to spend a whole week away with friends being taken care of by a large team of volunteers. With the impact of the pandemic and cost of living situation these donations are more necessary than ever. Please give within your means, but do support the great work of Oxford and District Mencap if you are able.
