Story
It's easy to feel removed from the harsh reality that many children and families face around the world.
That's why I've decided to "Walk a day in their shoes". On the 6th of March I will walk for 12 hours around the Auckland isthmus (approx 40km).
I will walk in the shoes of:
- economic refugees who are trying to walk from Central America to the USA.
- child labourers who walk along the highways of Latin America picking up recyclables.
- parents who carry their children while they work each day in Latin America.
I will be doing this to raise much needed funds for NPH New Zealand, a wonderful charity that helps vulnerable children and families across Latin America.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the community students of NPH Guatemala. These communities are battling with Covid19. NPH is supporting them through educational resources, food packages, phone tutoring and counselling.
Thank you for your support!
