Story
Just a random group of fitness fanatics trying to do a good thing and look like weirdos in the process
More than 1 million adults and children die from HIV-AIDS in Africa each year
TackleAfrica uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across the continent www.tackleafrica.org
Tackle Africa is running a Race to Africa event to raise money to help those living with, and affected by, HIV
They are hoping that volunteers will help them accumulate the 20,000 km needed to race from the UK to West Africa, across to East Africa and down into South Africa
Me, Lucia, Megan and Piotr are helping contribute some distance by walking on our hands as far as we can in 2 months. We will obviously not go as far as those people cycling but we are hoping the novelty will help raise some attention to this cause that we all believe in ;)
We aim to complete 5miles between us and I have set a personal challenge of 2 miles in 2 months
I also wanted to try 60m in a row (that's pretty much the width of a football field)
If you could help us out with hyping up our weird upside down walking videos, then we, and all the people involved with Tackle Africa would really appreciate it
Thanks x
