Story
We're representing NMU and raising funds in aid of Mind, taking on a fast-paced and physically challenging adventure - the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales on the 4th-6th September.
Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m).
About our chosen charity
Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services raise awareness and promote understanding, and provide support directly to those who need it the most. Mind has a network of over 140 local Minds across England and Wales which offer specialised services based on the needs of the communities they support.
It is estimated that every year, one in four people will experience a mental health problem, but hundreds of thousands of them are still
struggling. Mind believes that no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. These are many reasons why we have chosen to start a partnership with Mind in 2020, we believe in their cause and the benefits to raising awareness about mental health problems.
