Nici’s has asthma since she was 20 which provided her the perfect excuse relax and do no form of physical activity for the last 20 years 😂

When Jenko ran the London Marathon for Asthma UK in 2019 Nici was so proud, followed him round London all day and cried every time she saw him! Fair play for smashing out just over 5 hours after a pretty (very!) relaxed training schedule!!

Caught up in the good vibes, Nici decided there and then she wanted to run the marathon too for Asthma UK and turns out this is the year 😬

Let’s just say there was a bit of soul searching when Nici got the email from Asthma UK to confirm her place!! With some encouragement from Jenko she reluctantly accepted but was terrified about every aspect of it! Luckily, Jenko received his confirmation the next day and he’s promised to help train Nici and her sad little lungs and to run with her on the day - that’s love right there!! (Also take the pressure off Jenko to beat his time 😉).

Having never run more than 5k in her life, and still unable to run a full 1k without stopping for breath ( 🎻) this really will be a huge challenge for Nici.

Jenko’s been there through every asthma attack, night sitting up on the sofa unable to sleep, coughing fit, frustration at not being able to do stuff, fear at forgotten asthma pumps and dread of cardio. Both of Jenko’s girls have asthma as well as his mum so this really is a cause we’re both passionate about want to support.
