I will be travelling to Sicily in September to take part in a long distance walk, the Magna via Francigena. I hope to complete the trek within a week.

It's an ancient pilgrimage and trade route, coast to coast, between Palermo and Agrigento, which is 180km in total.

My aim is to raise funds for the Mayor's three charities - Beaumond House Hospice, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and Newark Mencap.
