Story
This is a really emotional but amazing charity which means a lot to me, nevaeh hope was here for 82 days she travelled a lot in neonatal she wanted to check out every room because she was curious lol, no honestly she was put in every room because of each difficulty she went through, one week she was put in intensive care because she loved to hold her breath and scare us but she always pulled herself together the little witch 😂 we only seen her 2 hours a day which was the hardest part of our life’s 😭 she fought all the way and never give u because she knew I needed her ❤️ the staff in neonatal don’t get the praise enough they are real life angels, our precious girl is now coming up 5 she’s the strongest human I’ve ever met, I want to give this ward something back for saving my little girl ❤️
The Neonatal Unit at James Cook Hospital includes intensive care and high dependency facilities and is where we care for sick and premature infants. We have ten intensive care/high dependency cots and a number of special care cots and carry out various forms of respiratory support and other intensive therapies including infant cooling.
We have around 400 admissions each year, so it is a busy unit.
Donations to the Neonatal Unit support the many babies and their families who come to our hospital for treatment and care, making their experience the best it possibly can be.
Donations also help us pay for the little things that make a big difference to our babies and their families.
