We are joining thousands of others to complete the Couch to 5k Challenge in October in support of Maggie’s.

A few months ago our team captain Nat and family had the biggest shock and battle ahead. Nats brother had initially been treated for a frozen shoulder for several months only to find out in August 2023 he has a form of cancer known as Osteosarcoma.

This type of bone cancer begins in the cells that form in bones, usually found in the long bones — more often the legs, but sometimes the arm. Maggie's is located within Churchill & John Radcliffe's hospital (Oxford), where my brother is currently undergoing treatment.

He has now started chemo with the high probability for an operation which means lengthy times at the hospital. For that reason I want to do what I can in raising money for Maggie's to not only benefit all the families in a similar situation but in particular my family along this horrible and long journey.

Maggie’s offers the best possible support free to anyone with cancer and their families who walk through our doors. We want to be there to support people when cancer turns life upside down.
