Story
In 2023, we set a target of raising at least £25,000 to help people with cancer live as fully as they can – and successfully hit that total (including gift aid) at the end of the year. That total can pay for a Macmillan nurse for 735 hours (equivalent to 21 weeks) to help people living with cancer and their families to receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
Our team continue to carry out a variety of fundraising activities over 2024.
Kickstarting activities over 2024, we have entered the Keswick to Barrow event with a 40-mile walk / run in the Lake District on Saturday 11 May. We will also be making the most of our planned events and wider activities over the course of the year to promote and support this initiative including our flagship Nuclear Manufacturing Summit supply chain conference on 20–21 November.
We look forward to working with our network on this great initiative including members, partners, Fit For Nuclear companies and our wider stakeholders to maximise the impact of our work to generate funds, raise awareness and make a difference. Our thanks go out in advance for your positive support for this initiative and contributions that will be made to support us in achieving our goal.
