Story
Father and son duo Dominic and Oisín are running their first marathons aged 58 and 19 respectively. Dominic’s Dad died of prostate cancer at the age of 64, just before Oisín was born, and was given superb and compassionate care at a hospice in his final weeks. Other family members have survived cancer thanks to similar tremendous professional support. Dominic's brother, Oisín's Uncle Toby, tragically died last year at the age of 60. He didn't have cancer but his death was the catalyst for us to take on this challenge. Please support us and Macmillan Cancer Support if you can!
Well we did it! I developed a sore hip in the last month of training which slowed us down quite alot but we crossed the finish line together and have our medals to prove it. Thank you so much to everyone who donated money to MacMillan Cancer Support on our behalf (thanks particularly to my Mum for being chief fundraiser!). Will we do another one.....never say never!
