Story

The Middle Aged Plodders Strike Back ... that bit older, that bit slower and that bit creakier...but still with burning enthusiasm to try and plod our way through 21km in the Chelmsford Half Marathon on 6th March 2022 to raise money for the wonderful and inspiring Hope Lane.

Hope has Quadriplegic Spastic Dystonic Cerebral Palsy, which means she cannot sit, stand or walk and requires twice weekly private physiotherapy sessions to help improve her strength and balance. We are hoping to raise funds to ensure these sessions for Hope can continue.

We are not stereotypical athletes and we have worked hard on our endurance over the last few months, with minor setbacks to our training plan including Covid and Injuries...

This is a daunting challenge for us but we will do what it takes to get ourselves round the course and raise as much money for Hope as we can.

We would be really grateful if you could make a donation for this wonderful cause. Love Clare & Donna xx
