Story

On 21 November, I will be taking part in a national Tapathon organised by the Performers Project on behalf of Children in Need. I took up tapping again, having loved it as a kid, during lockdown via Zoom with a local dance class - the Top Hat Tappers! In the past few weeks, I have been learning a routine for the Tapathon and the aim on Sunday is to have as many people as possible across the country tapping all at the same time!

As a proud Ambassador for GMYN, I would like to try and raise some well needed funds for them but please feel free to choose which charity you would like to help support (the first link below is for GMYN, the 2nd is for Children in Need)

Why GMYN's work is vital for young people

Before the pandemic, one third of young people in the UK were lonely, half felt unready for work and half felt they didn't belong to their local community. Now, during this crisis, 80% of young people with a history of mental ill health have said that the current situation is making them feel worse.

At GMYN, our key focus is supporting young people with experience of the care system and special educational needs and disabilities to feel safe, supported and cared for but, as charities and statutory services respond to the pandemic, the support available for these young people has suddenly changed and reduced.

But they now need this support more than ever.

Any support you can offer is helpful. Thank you.
