Hey everyone!

To show that gender equality isn't a women's issue, but rather a human one, we have decided to fundraise for UN Women Australia. We hope to raise awareness and help with current women's issues.

The organisation is committed to advancing gender equality and the empowerment of women. Every day, women face violence and discrimination; lack access to decent work opportunities and equal pay; are denied access to basic education and health care; and are under-represented in political and economic decision-making processes. UN Women Australia is working to change this.

UN Women’s priority areas include: ending violence against women and girls; ending poverty through enhancing women’s economic empowerment; responding in emergencies to ensure women’s needs and talents are at the centre of disaster planning and response; women’s leadership and political participation ; women’s inclusion in peace-making processes and negotiations.
