Story

The Mencap Marvels squad are swimming in relay in 2024, doing it tough for 1 day in service of others who do it tough for their whole lives. They are swimming 1 hr each at a time, in skins (no wetsuit), standard swimsuit, goggles & swim cap. They will swim through the night and whatever weather conditions are thrown at us. They will do this as Mencap supports so many children, families and adults. Swimming for Mencap is a special privilege as swimming is an activity that can be shared and enjoyed by all our community. The Mencap Marvels have 2 senior squads and 1 junior team this year:

The squad members are Sarah Emerson, Nikki Cooper, Wen Hu, Bepi Cazzorla, Claire O'Rourke, Amanda Liddle, Dani Kaelin, Ben O'Hara, Lucca Incerpi, Ryan Browning, Nick Boaz, Katie Horvath, Peter Solc, Jane Leonard, Gerald Harrison

The Turnchapel Mermaids team is Philippa Hall, Lucy Allison, Hannah Blore, Nina Jenkins, Louisa Duggan-Smith and Laura Gallop.

Nikki Pope is our reserve and squad captain.

We thank you for taking the time to read our story and support our swimmers.
