Men & Mountains are all too aware of the necessity of Wales Air Ambulance.

Every day, people across Wales face life-threatening emergencies. Accidents, cardiac arrests, and injuries can strike at any time, leaving families in crisis. That's where the Wales Air Ambulance comes in. They provide advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team of highly trained Doctors and Critical Care Practitioners are ready to respond to life threatening emergency's, no matter how challenging or remote the location.

But they can't do it alone. They rely entirely on donations to keep the helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road. Every pound donated helps save lives and bring hope to families in their darkest moments.

Men & Mountains is a men’s walking group with more than 400 members from all over the UK. Once a month, at no cost, its members meet to walk, talk, de-stress and connect as hike, mostly through the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Their scenic walks are around 8 -10 miles; alongside promoting physically fitness, their hikes also support mental wellbeing. Their monthly hikes are accessible to those with moderate fitness levels and basic equipment such as boots, waterproof jacket and a rucksack.

As a community of likeminded men, Men & Mountains believe in service and contribution. Annually, they partner with a regional charity to raise awareness and monies. Their 2024 charitable partner is Wales Air Ambulance. Members will be raising monies by hiking in the UK, Alps and Atlas Mountains – please support their charitable initiative.
