Sue Ryder Starlight Hike Cheltenham · 19 October 2024 ·

Celebrate the memory of a loved one this October as you walk 10k beneath the stars while raising vital funds to help ensure no one faces death or grief alone.

Story

Some of Meg's friends and family will be doing the Starlight Hike in memory of her. The Leckhampton Court Hospice provided incredible support and care for Meg whilst she was there and so we'd like to take this opportunity to give back to them and show our appreciation for all they did for her.

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can access the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with Sue Ryder's support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. They are there when it matters.

£20 could pay for a patient’s meals for the day in one of our hospices. We always do our best to cater for someone’s individual preferences and dietary requirements.

£25 could fund an hour of expert care, so our Sue Ryder doctors and nurses can help manage patients’ pain and symptoms.

£40 could provide our personalised text support service Sue Ryder Grief Coach to someone who is grieving for a year, as well as gentle coaching for friends and family who want to support them.
