During medical school we both volunteered with N.E.S.T - an incredible organisation supporting refugee and asylum seeking communities across the North-East of England.

Every year, more and more people have been forced to flee their homes and seek sanctuary. The need to support these marginalised communities have become increasingly important.

As a result we are both running the London Marathon to support refugees by fundraising for JRS UK. Each year their team help over 300 individuals and families each year through English language classes, food banks, clothing, accommodation, legal advice as well as advocating and helping people to navigate a hostile asylum system.
