Story
At the start of May we sadly lost our friend and colleague Myra Butler. Myra’s career as a chartered accountant spanned 43 years, 34 of which was spent with what is now RSM, contributing to both the Leeds Audit and Financial Reporting department.
As a tribute to her memory, we have decided to walk a marathon (42km) on Friday 13 September for charity, a distance almost equivalent to her years as a chartered accountant.
Myra had a love for dogs, in particular Alaskan Malamutes and therefore part of the monies raised will go direct to Saints Sled Dog Rescue. This charity provides help for unwanted, neglected or stray Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes through the process of fostering, rehabilitating and re-homing, and by supporting their owners with help and advice.
Myra battled with Cancer for many years before she passed, and therefore part of the monies raised will also go to Cancer Research.
