Story
Two of our colleagues from Central Region Dan Eagan and Ryan Starr are taking on a massive challenge to raise vital funds for a local charity, Sue Ryder Hospice’s emergency corona virus appeal.
Dan, branch manager in Gloucester and Ryan, branch manager in Stroud will be cycling across their entire Gloucestershire area, visting each branch and covering a distance of approximately 200 miles over a period of two and a half days.
All the branches in the Area are looking to support and between us match the miles that they complete.
That equates to covering 17 miles per branch and that’s exactly what all of us in the Gloucester Area are planning to do on the weekend of the 5th & 6th September!
Sue Ryder supports people living with life-limiting and long-term conditions including brain injury, cancer, dementia, strokes, multiple sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and motor neuron disease. It operates specialist palliative care centres, care centres for people with complex conditions, home care services and a growing number of community-based services. The charity also offers support to people who are bereavinf the death of a loved one, through face to face services in its centres and also as an online service, as part of a bespoke online community.
We are asking for your support so that the hospice nurses and healthcare team can continue the amazing work they have done for the past 60 years.
Any donations received are extremely appreicated and will go a long way towards ensuing the survial of this amazing hospice.
