Story
Mason was born in June, 2021 with a prenatal Down Syndrome diagnosis. We were filled with fear and terrified of the unknown. Although the last year has been difficult with many challenges, little did we know we had nothing to fear. Mason has given us so much love and joy. He has taught all of us so much about life; the importance of slowing down, resilience, inclusion, awareness and most of all unconditional love. To know him is to love him!
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and that is true for sure! We have made some amazing friends and relied on so many amazIng people to help us get through this first year that now it is time to give back. DSAHRC provides parent-to-parent support and professional services to individuals with Down syndrome and their families. While the Buddy Walk helps raise funds for these vital services, it is also an inspirational and educational event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of all individuals with Down syndrome.
Please join Mason and our family this year for the annual Buddy Walk on September 25th from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Please feel free to share our event on Social Media, or help us fundraise by making a donation of any amount, in celebration of our Walk's 26th Anniversary.
Please contact Janine Lampo (janine.lampo@gmail.com) for more information to receive your Mason’s Mission Shirt. We are asking for our team members to represent Mason’s Mission during the walk and Shirts will need to be purchased separately.
