Story
Marrow is a network of lifesaving students who work with the blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. There are over 50 Marrow groups, with hundreds of student volunteers in universities across the country, who are all working towards one thing - saving the lives of people with blood cancer.
The coronavirus pandemic is causing anxiety and frustrations for us all. But for blood cancer patients who cant wait any longer for lifesaving stem cell donations to be delivered, we have the power to save lives in this crisis.
Anthony Nolan are taking immediate action to keep donated stem cells moving; from increased health checks on donors, to battling with travel restrictions and border closings to ensure cells get to patients who desperately need them to survive. But they need to raise an extra £10,000 every month that the coronavirus pandemic goes on to enable this work.
Every £100 we raise could help pay to keep their Emergency Handover Hub at Heathrow Airport open 24 hours a day, to enable international couriers who cant go into hospitals due to quarantine rules, to handover donated stem cells to one of the UK volunteers for the final lifesaving leg.
Please sponsor Marrow with whatever you can today to keep this vital work going.
