Story
Since 2007 the Monadnock Region Child Advocacy Center (MRCAC) has been utilized by Cheshire County law enforcement departments, the Cheshire County Attorney's Office, and the Keene District Office of DCYF for child forensic interviews of children suspected of being victims of abuse. MRCAC utilizes a team-based therapeutic approach to ensure that child victims receive caring trauma-informed services. As a program of the Granite State Children's Alliance, MRCAC is administered by a non-profit corporation that relies on outside funding and donations to meet the cost of operations. Since 2016 local Cheshire County Law Enforcement agencies, led by the Keene and Marlborough Police Departments, have helped MRCAC raise crucial operation funds by allowing their Officers to participate in the annual Beards for Bucks Fundraiser. MRCAC is grateful for Police Department Chiefs who allow their officers to participate in Beards for Bucks, and we are also grateful for all of the individual officers who participate.
