Story
Emily’s Gift is a new appeal launched by Julie Kent MBE under the umbrella of the Pied Piper Charity. Julie and her husband Bernard (Bernie) lost their daughter at a young age to cancer, and ever since Julie has helped support children with Cancer in Gloucestershire.
Bernard (Bernie) Kent, was a long term employee of the Markey Group, having been the Sales & Marketing Director of the manufacturing business, Premiere Kitchens.
The mission of Emily's Gift is to raise £500,000 to fund a psychologist on the Emily Kent Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for 10 years.
No child should ever experience cancer. Your generosity will help us to provide professional emotional support for children and their families in Gloucestershire to help them cope with the trauma.
