Story
Hi everybody - thank you so much for visiting our page (and hopefully donating!)
We are John and Rachel, an iconic, 20 and 51-year-old, father-daughter duo who are obsessed with footy. Soccer Saturday has been an integral part of our relationship - we watch it every week we are together, and every achievement in our lives has to be 'Unbelievable Jeff'. As much as we have our own Premier League allegiances, we have always been fond fans of our local team, Wycombe Wanderers. Since John grew up in the area, he has been a regular visitor to Adams Park, and sitting with a pint in the family stand is one of the activities we love best when Rachel is home from uni.
A renowned Wycombe fan and legend of the local community, Bill Turnball sadly passed away because of Prostate Cancer last year. Rachel had the pleasure of meeting Bill at school when she was 8 years old. Learning about honey, and also getting a snazzy picture with him and the mayor (which is in our gallery... you're welcome), is one of her most prominent memories from primary school.
So, because of all that, we are joining Jeff Stelling's Football March to help beat prostate cancer. This September, we'll be joining hundreds of football fans to walk a marathon with him and raising money to help beat prostate cancer.
The money I raise will help to fund lifesaving research to save and improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's thousands of dads, granddads, brothers, partners and mates.
