Thumbs up for Charlie has been created in memory of our beautiful 5 year old son who died after heroically battling an ependymoma brain tumour for three years. Our aim is to support other families living with or affected by childhood brain tumours
Story
After successfully running over 26 miles in May, last year, for Brain Tumour Research, Charlie’s Aunty Lynne and her friend and fellow Speech & Language Therapist, Lauren, are running the Blackpool Festival of Running Half Marathon on Sun 24th April in his memory. It will have been just over a year since we lost him.
There have been some bumps in the road of our training of late with injuries and illness but we are sure Charlie’s spirit and any sponsorship we are pledged will help us over the line.
Thank you for your continued support in our efforts to do something positive after the huge and painful loss of Charlie - a beautiful, smiley, cheeky, blue eyed boy, forever 5 and forever in our thoughts and hearts💙👍
‘When it rains look for rainbows, when it‘s dark look for stars…’ 🌈💫👍🏻💙
