We fund services for local asylum seekers to relieve poverty and distress

Story

Staff, family and friends LUV and Two Mindful Bees are doing the 10K walk to raise funds for SDCAS – a charity that helps relieve the poverty and distress of Asylum Seekers and Refugees. They provide much-needed holistic and vital activities such as hot meals, legal advice, English classes, storytelling, creche facilities, socialising and many more. Like many charities, they are badly affected by diminishing funding during this pandemic but continue to work tirelessly to combat the ever-growing poverty, health inequalities and exclusion faced by marginalised and destitute members of the community.

Together we will be walking 10 km along the river Thames, passing 4 bridges and 2 tunnels on Saturday 8th October 2022.

We’d love it if you could join us on the walk or support us by donating (however big or small), or words of encouragement will be good too.

We have a few little feet and two four-legged friends walking with us so your support and encouragement will greatly help us on our way.
