Raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Society and The Emma Cosgrove Foundation

Story

Update 05/10/2022

I think I was the only one praying for rain on Saturday night because when we woke up Sunday morning the weather was fine and got warmer as the day went on. Great if you are just going to London for a day trip but not so much for running round in a santa suit.

Massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Really appreciate the support. Thank you

Update 23/09/2022

So, it's nearly time for London.

Was in two minds this in the past few months whether to run in the suit or not at London but I've decided to go for it. I'm not in PB shape so it would be good fun to get a fancy dress run out of my system.

Thank you to everyone so far that has sponsored me, shared my posts or shouted encouragement from the side of the road. It's really been appreciated.

Thank you

So, I'm at it again!

Basically I'm planning to do a lot of running in the next 12 months and thought it would be a good opportunity to raise money for two causes that I feel passionately about.

Firstly is the Emma Cosgrove Foundation. This charity I got involved with last year with the pyjama appeal that we got involved with. Like any charity they need support throughout the year, so I've decided to raise some funds for them.

Second is the MS Society. As you may know, my other (she'd say better) half was recently diagnosed with MS and until being thrust into the middle of it I knew very little about the condition. If I can I'd like to raise a bit of money for them to help raise a bit of awareness too.

It would be great if you could split your donation between both pages, I know it's a faff but this was the only way I could get it so I could run for two charities. Fully understand if you want to give more to one than another because you feel more passionate about a certain charity as well.

So for the running, going to start off with something call a run-vent. Starting on the 1st December I'll run 1km, the next day 2km, then 3km, and so on until the 24th December when I'll run 24km. To keep it festive I will be running in as Father Christmas (just because!)

After that I'm going to run Manchester marathon, Windermere marathon and a 24 hour run which I'm aiming to run 100 miles at. I'm probably going to slot some other bits in there as well.

Dates

1st - 24th December: Run-vent Done

3rd April: Manchester marathon Done

22nd May: Windermere marathon Done

23rd - 24th July: Thunderrun 24 Hour Done

2nd October: London Marathon
