Our penguins are swimming 5 miles in honor of George Rohrbacher to help the American Cancer Society fight for a world without cancer.

George Rohrbacher was a Los Paseos resident and San Jose firefighter. George was a nearly constant presence at our pool, serving as clubhouse manager, lifeguard, and unofficial swim team spirit booster for many years.

When George died of lung cancer in 1998, he left behind a tremendous legacy of generosity, positive energy, and enthusiasm for the swim team and the entire Los Paseos community. The boulder with the shark-fin plaque in front of the clubhouse is dedicated in his memory.
