Story
A group of local fundraisers have decided to raise money for Birmingham charity 'LoveBrum' by covering 100km each from the 19th Nov 20 to 3rd Dec 20 which is the day that the current lock-down finishes hence the name of the event being 'Escape from Lock-down'.
Each fundraiser will attempt to raise a minimum of £300 each for www.lovebrum.org.uk and help to make Birmingham even better. Funds raised will be used to support hidden gem projects in the city which is even more relevant during these current times.
Birmingham-based charity LoveBrum has launched a new #OneBrum campaign to help raise vital funds for local causes and unite the city, as it faces challenging times from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Replacing LoveBrums regular monthly rounds of funding for the time being, #OneBrum will target a number of local causes delivering specific COVID-19 related initiatives, as well as helping LoveBrum to continue its own work.
OneBrum has a simple premise; everyone in Birmingham is being asked to do just two things; donate £1 to support the work happening right now in Birmingham to support local communities, and do one thing locally to help - whether thats phoning someone in isolation or completing a shopping drop to a vulnerable person.
