Story
After cycling to from London to Edinburgh last year, Charlotte and James are clearly still suffering from a warped perception as to what is an appropriate amount of physical pain to put the body through, as we have now signed up to a gruelling 24hr ultra marathon across Scotland; this time with two fine new teammates in Sam and Ben.
Taking place on the longest day of the year, there is one benefit in that we will get to maximise our views of the Scottish countryside whilst you enjoy your Summer Solstice BBQ, as we relay across the John Muir way running a collective 220km from coast to coast, in 24 hours. For the record, the 'baton' comes in the form of a GPS wrist strap, meaning James has no excuse to lose it.
We are putting ourselves through this obscene test of endurance in support of TRIBE Freedom Foundation, looking to put an end to modern slavery.
There are an estimated 136,000 people living in slavery in the UK (Global Slavery Index 2019). That's more than two victims for every thousand people in the country. This needs to stop.
Anything you could spare towards this cause would be much appreciated, all of your support will be what keeps us going through those dark hours.
Thank you
Charlotte, James, Sam and Ben
