Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with Alzheimer's, symptoms first appear later in life.

Lonsdale has supported research into Alzheimer's over many years and continues to do so in July. One of our team members, Conor, is also running the London Marathon in support of Alzheimer's and will be setting the pace in the Peak District. Over two days we will be walking 100km surveying the inclines of the lovely Peak District and hopefully avoiding too many blisters.

Sadly many of our customers and loved one's will succumb to Alzheimer's. Every penny raised by all of us brings the day closer when an effective and simple solution exists to stop Alzheimer's in its tracks.

For personal reasons, two of the team are supporting charities close to them and we wish them every success in raising money as well.
