Story
Our fit and fearless runners have been training for the last few months, preparing their minds and body for the London Landmarks Half Marathon. All of the team are new to each other, living all over the country, and will be meeting face-to-face for the first time just before the race!
They're fundraising for Love Support Unite Africa Foundation, a small but mighty NGO that runs sustainable projects in Malawi. The charity had humble beginnings - setting up an orphanage over 10 years ago. Where those children came from in rural Malawi is where the outreach projects LSU runs are based around. These children were housed, cared for, educated and are now thriving in schools, colleges and some are in university!
LSU empowers people to become self-sufficient, with a leg-up rather than a hand-out. Community-based projects that integrate education, enterprise, nutrition and health, lift communities out of the cycle of poverty into a cycle of sustainability.
LSU is a small grassroots charity. Running costs are kept as low as possible. Every penny that is donated or fundraised is used carefully and allocated with the utmost transparency.

Through integrated community-based projects, using sustainable infrastructure and resources, including clean water and energy, we create self-sufficiency and food security, breaking reliance on aid, and disrupting the cycle of poverty.
