Our nurses walk, on average, 12'000 steps every single shift, caring for local people who are suffering with life limiting illnesses. Support our amazing nurses by stepping into their shoes and walking 12'000 steps a day for 12 days. #StepUpforSFH

Story

Myself, Elise and Amelia will be walking 12,000 steps every day in March to raise money and awareness of the brilliant Saint Francis Hospice in Essex, who looked after our wonderful friend Amy.

Their team of specialist consultants, doctors, nurses and other health and social care professionals provide care and support to individuals with a life-limiting illness, as well as their carers and family members, completely free of charge.

12,000 is the number of steps a hospice nurse will walk on an average shift and so we're stepping into their shoes to show our support and raise as much money as possible so that people like Debbie can continue to provide much needed care.

Read more about Debbie and Saint Francis Hospice below:

"Hello my name is Debbie and I'm a ward sister for Saint Francis Hospice. I care for our patients in their homes.

Did you know that a hospice nurse walks 12,000 steps on an average shift?

This spring I'm challenging you to step into a nurse's shoes by walking 12,000 steps every day in March.

By taking on this challenge you can help bring love and care to all local people who need hospice care. Do something amazing today, Step up for Hospice Nurses."
