On 28th July 2024 my beautiful baby girl Olivia Williams aged just 19 passed away suddenly of SUDEP. SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. It’s when someone with epilepsy dies and no other cause of death can be established. Many of those who die are often young and otherwise healthy.

Since the day Olivia passed we have been supported by two charities:

2Wish - who provide immediate support for families who have suddenly and traumatically lost a child or young adult under the age of 25.

SUDEP Action - SUDEP stands for Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. SUDEP Action are a UK charity set up to raise awareness of SUDEP and Epilepsy risks to prevent deaths and support those bereaved.

As a family we will continue to support these charities and help raise awareness of SUDEP in hope to prevent further preventable deaths of people living with Epilepsy.
