Story
My dad lived the fullest of lives and followed every passion, interest and dream! he inspired us in so many ways. I miss him beyond measure and no words seem good enough to describe this. I hope to keep shining dad's light bright; to challenge myself; to live life to the full and to inspire my children too.
I have decided to take on a challenge in honour, and in memory of my extraordinary dad and for a charity so dear to our hearts. To my complete delight my brother Iain was keen too! along with some very dear friends of dad and the family, Steve and Karen. Team Live Your Dreams evolved and together we will be taking part in the Kiltwalk Mighty Stride to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. We will be walking 21 miles around Edinburgh wearing kilts on Sunday 15th September.
Bowel Cancer UK are the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with over 16,000 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable. We're determined to help Bowel Cancer UK to change that.
We probably all know someone who has suffered from this terrible disease, since dad's first diagnosis of bowel cancer in 2015, we have other very treasured family members and friends who have since been diagnosed with and fought Bowel Cancer. As we walk together, we will be shining a light bright for our one of a kind dad, who is so loved and missed daily but for all those impacted by bowel cancer.
We hope you can support us in our challenge and goal to raise money for this incredible charity.
