Story

Explorer Louis Alexander is currently embarking on a global challenge for a global cause: to run a marathon in the most remote corner of every continent on Earth, from the desert in Africa to the polar conditions of Antarctica. In honour of his Grandfather and in support of Alzheimer's Research UK.

As of November 2023, Louis has completed six continents so far: running through the Agafay Desert in Morocco, Wadi Rum Desert in Asia, Alaska in North America, Australian Outback in Oceania, Amazon Rainforest in South America and Arctic Circle in Europe . In December 2023, Louis will embark on his final marathon of the project in Antarctica - the coldest, windiest and driest continent on Earth.

Louis is proud and grateful for the support of his friends during his project, and urges those who can to embark on their own challenges in support of this important cause. All donations via this JustGiving page go directly to the charity and the fight against Dementia.
