Story
"Whoever builds a Masjid for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow's nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." - Ibn Maajah (738)
We bought the new Masjid including refurbishment cost totalling £600,000 with qarde hasana. We recently achieved planning permission for a Mosque and Community Centre to pray 5 times a day. Currently there is no Masjid in the Goresbrook area of Barking and Dagenham. We want to provide a Masjid for prayers and facilities for children, men and women to learn about our deen - this will be known as Darul Ummah Goresbrook.

Whether you physically help your community by laying the bricks or donating towards it, a mosque is a central place of worship for the community; it is the House of Allah (Subhan Allaah wa ta’aala).
A mosque is the best of places. It is more blessed and virtuous than all other places. The Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:
“The most beloved of places to Allah is the mosque, and the most detested of places to Allah is the marketplace.” [Sahih Muslim]
A famous hadith which I’m sure you’ve come across is when The Prophet (Sallallaahu-‘alayhe wa sallam) said:
“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him likewise in Paradise.” [Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim]
Anything you spend towards the mosque, for the sake of Allah (Subhan-Allaah wa ta’aala), with the intention of Sadaqah Jariyah is immense.
Sadaqah Jariyah is a continuous, flowing and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives as the benefits of giving this type of charity can be reaped in this lifetime and long after we have passed.
And Allah (Subhan Allaah wa ta’aala) knows Best.

This noble project is being delivered by Da'watul Islam UK & Eire which has been serving the Muslim community since 1978, We have already successfully established centres in different towns and cities across the UK. Our largest centre is Darul Ummah in central London which serves over 5000 service users every week.
