Story

Leicester Forest Cycling Club and its members are proud to be supporting Leicestershire’s Hope Against Cancer as part of our centenary celebrations in 2023. Volunteers from Hope Against Cancer will be running our centenary ride feed stations and supporting our events at The Linford at the 100th anniversary event and our riders will be raising money through sponsorship of the centenary rides. We have a number of rides to choose from with distances and difficulties to suit riders of all ages and abilities from a family ride to a 100 mile challenge through the Leicestershire hills.

We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.
