We are Fiona, Linda and Lucy and we decided to run the Great North Run to raise money for Anthony Nolan after our dear friend’s daughter was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at the end of 2022. This is a very quickly-progressing cancer of the white blood cells and we have seen how aggressive the treatment needs to be and what a huge impact the diagnosis has on all involved. Although all three of us run (aka plod) regularly, this half marathon will be a real challenge for us and we would really appreciate your support. Every penny we raise will go towards helping to save and improve the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders. Thank you so much!
