OGWEN VALLEY MOUNTAIN RESCUE
Campaign by OVMRO (RCN 1160504)
Please support us. As a totally voluntary organisation, every penny donated will go direct to rescuing and assisting people in difficulty in the mountains of northern Snowdonia.

Story

In 2024, Jared “The Human Compass” Williams and Ben “I’m Not Climbing That” Lucas, will be attempting to cross the entirety of Wales, from coast to coast, via the infamous Cambrian Way! All in aid of the Welsh Mountain Rescue and fundraising for the incredible volunteers that keep us all safe, whatever the weather.

The route takes in nearly 500km of some of the finest mountains, valleys and wilderness Wales has to offer. Starting at Cardiff Castle and finishing at Conwy Castle, it is one of the most challenging and spectacular long distance routes in the British Isles. Typically broken into 21 discreet “Stages”, Ben and Jared will be attempting to finish it in around half of that, kicking off in January 2024 and culminating in the Welsh 3000’s route over Snowdonia in August!
