Claire and Jon are remembering their daughter, Lauren Lily Darby, in what would have been her 16th year, by asking for donations to two amazing charities rather than receiving gifts in what is their 50th year.

Lauren was born prematurely on 22nd January 2008 and lived for 4 days. Everyone who knows Claire, Jon and Ruby is aware that there is always something missing in their lives. The magic moments that a daughter should have had. The unique bond that a sister should have enjoyed. The love and support that grandparents, aunts and uncles would have loved to give.

So in what is Jon and Claire’s 50th year (Jon comes first as Claire likes to remind him that he‘s the older man!), they would really appreciate your support by donating instead of buying a gift. As per a well know supermarket chain, every little helps…

They are supporting two amazing charities: The TeddyRose Foundation and Newborns in Need.

With thanks to the amazing work the team at the Neonatal unit at Heartlands Hospital did in caring for Ruby, Without the team there, she wouldn't have been here.
