The Legal Aid of NC HQ and Central Intake team works from the Raleigh administrative office, supporting our mission across the state.

The Raleigh headquarters office houses our Central Intake Unit. CIU has 51 staff members, including 27 attorneys, 4 paralegals, and 14 intake staff who receive calls and provide legal services across all 100 counties. In addition to handling statewide legal case intake, CIU also houses several statewide projects and initiatives. The advocates in CIU are often the first impression of the firm’s compassionate and competent service for Legal Aid of North Carolina’s clients. Last year, we assisted more than 55,000 North Carolinians who could not afford an attorney.
