Story
Just days before our nation's Independence Day celebration, Cheryl, a founding member of Ladies Who Walk & Wine, sustained a life-threatening injury when she fell down a flight of stairs fracturing her neck in two places and suffering a subdural hematoma. After being transferred to Rhode Island Hospital and enduring a seven-hour surgery, we are soooooo grateful and happy to report that our dear friend is doing remarkably well and set to MOVE for Easterseals Massachusetts. This year, Cheryl's movement will entail hours of physical and occupational therapy to fully regain her strength and independence. Did we mention Cheryl is a registered nurse?! Not always the best patient ...
...but always the best friend and fellow winer! Cheers to you Cheryl. Keep moving ... full steam ahead for a full recovery. xox
Wow, what a difference a year makes! We have worked together to MOVE more barriers for people with disabilities. We have supported and empowered more students to pursue a college education, more adults to land meaningful employment, more seniors to adopt assistive technology, more Veterans to connect with critical resources and so much more.
There is still so much more to MOVE. That is why, a few boys of summer or Gents Who Reel & Release are "moving" with Ladies Who Walk & Wine to raise funds for Easterseals. So let's get moving ... and walking, wine-ing, reeling, releasing and giving! We appreciate your generosity, friendship, kindness and steady encouragement.
